誓盟（Oathbound）是一個被其公開立定的誓約所約束的人。這一詞包括了各種各樣的誓約，從向某人承諾忠誠，到發誓要報仇等等……簡單來說，就是你向人公開這個誓約比你自己的生命更崇高。

事實上，一個戰爭之母可能會安排他另一個妻子，只要這有好處。又或是，要是她喜歡他，並想有一個他的孩子，她也可能會嘗試破壞他跟其他人的關係。再說一次，婚姻在這裡是為了建立一個人與人之間的網絡來保護部落中的孩子的。這個制度能有很多彈性——因為這制度的設計是為了最大化孩子有保障地出生的。
（在一個貧窮的部落裡，你不能就只是直接生孩子，你得先想辦法怎麼餵飽他和保護他）

Bloodsworn and oathbound are two different terms correct? if yes what are the differences? i'm asking to be sure about Ashe's relationship with Tryndamere.

Views of marriage and sex are very different in the . Most of our marriage customs are about of property. But in the marriage is based on complicated family obligations-- particularly protecting children from the harsh environment. and the hopes of having more magically gifted children. It's also society with very distinct gender roles which is thus reflected in culture and language.
Oathbound is someone held by an oath they have publicly given. This can cover a wide swath of oaths, from promising to swearing revenge, etc... you are publicly stating honoring this oath is more important than my own life.
Bloodsworn is a husband. It is an oath to protect and value (above your own life) another person and their children. It is used exclusively for members of the opposite sex-- and generally is only used to describe husbands-- i.e. men. So making a child with someone not to you is a huge taboo. Though it is not uncommon for Bloodsworn to have purely non-sexual relationships with the person they are oathbound to, effectively it is the "right" to mate with someone and a statement that this person's lineage is worthy and important to the tribe.
A man becomes a Bloodsworn by giving an oath to a woman (to protect her and more importantly her children) so it is a particular type of Oathbound promise. Note: a man could effectively be to more than one women. It's common for a to take a man as who is already to another woman (or women)-- usually by also adopting the other woman as a Bloodkin. (And thus also adopting the couples previous children as her own). Indirectly a man to a tribe's -- becomes much more desirable to other women-- as because a relationship with him now means a direct political connection to the tribe's leader-- for yourself and your children.
Bloodkin is a similar term to and has a similar meaning but it is for members of the same sex. (Generally it is only used between women --but men might also describe other men as .) Bloodkin oathbound to protect each other and each other's children in the same manner as Bloodsworn but it also assumes 1. that you are taking this person a retainer and 2. you will assign them some sort of command duties. it implies sister-hood.
Oathfather is a similar term to Bloodsworn-- but from the perspective of a child vs wife, and implies that relationship and responsibilities. i.e. Grena's Bloodsworn is Ashe's Oathfather.

This however raises one more question for me, can a bloodsworn/bloodkin be choosen by Warmother purely for platonic and romantic reasons or this has to be in interest of the tribe and protection?

So yes and no.
Making this sort of oath is a big deal. (You are actually pledging your life and it is likely in the harsh freljord this can/will get you killed at some point.)
For a normal person in the Freljord, the choice is probably just about love and opportunity. (A man might give an oath to one woman when he was young and in love-- and then late he gives an oath to a Warmother or powerful Scarthane later-- because that "marriage" will elevate his children and wife to a position that is more secure and protected.)
For a warmother, it would be foolish to take an oath from someone simply because you love them-- which is why most bloodsworn are the best warriors in the tribe. And why the term is used generically to describe them rather than regular joes who got married. (i.e. if I say "he is a bloodsworn" I am implying that he is the bloodsworn of the warmother and one of the best warriors in the tribe. If he is not from that rare group, a freljordian would instead say. "He oathbound to Vauna" -or- "He is the bloodsworn of Battlemaiden Vauna." (The second example clarifies to the listener, he is a bloodsworn but to someone below the Warmother in rank.)

So, see this bloodsworn thing as more of a status title, so when a warrior is bloodsworn to a warmother it doesn't necessarily doesn't mean they are having kids with each other, and the bloodsworn can be with another woman? …. or would it be bad for someone to be bloodsworn to a warmother and then go off and be bloodsworn to a normal person?

Yes or no. Actually the warmother might try to set him up with another wife. If it’s an advantage. Or she might try and sabotage his other relationships if she loves him and wants a child from him. Again marriage here is about creating a network of people to protect the tribes children. The system has a lot of flexability — because it is somewhat harshly designed to maximize having children responsibly.
(You don’t just have kids in a poor tribe, you have to figure out how you will feed and protect them first)
“Mother” is the important part of the title Warmother, she is probably the mother for the whole tribe. It’s likely in a small tribe that every single child is her responsibility and that every child was adopted by her.
